Students at Perry-Worth Elementary School will have a new way to build their personal libraries, thanks to a generous donation from the Lebanon Kiwanis Club.
The Lebanon Community School Corporation announced that the Lebanon Kiwanis Club donated a fully stocked book vending machine to Perry-Worth Elementary School.
The new vending machine will give students the opportunity to earn tokens throughout the school year. Students can then use those tokens to select a book of their very own.
The program is designed to encourage reading while helping students build libraries at home. By giving students the chance to choose their own books, the vending machine can also help create excitement around reading and encourage a lifelong love of books.
Lebanon Community School Corporation expressed its appreciation to the Lebanon Kiwanis Club for helping put great books into the hands of local students.
The donation provides Perry-Worth Elementary students with another opportunity to celebrate reading and take books home to enjoy with their families.
