Lessie Maurine (Walker) Stone, age 91, died April 4, 2025, in Nampa, Idaho. She was born on October 27, 1933, in Evansville, Indiana. Her parents were Harold B. Walker and Mary (Hilburn) Walker.
Lessie was a graduate of Jamestown High School, Boone County, Indiana.
She married George F. Stone November 28, 1951. Lessie and George had two sons, Harold Joseph Stone and Richard Lee Stone.
She was a long-time member of the Jamestown United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son Harold Joseph Stone of Nampa, Idaho. Her son, Richard Lee Stone died in 2021 and Lessie’s husband, George died in 1992. Lessie’s surviving grandchildren by Richard are Brandon Stone, Brittney (Stone) McKenna, and Dustin Stone. Her surviving grandchildren by her son Harold are Joseph Stone, John Isaac Stone, David L. Stone, Ruth Ann Maureen (Stone) McHaddad, Harold Matthew Stone, Susan (Stone) Sturgill, Christiana (Stone) Adams, and Havilah (Stone) Collins.
She married Frank Foster in 2002. He died in 2014.
Lessie’s ashes will be buried at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jamestown, Indiana at a later date. Porter and Hunt Funeral Home & Crematory in Jamestown has been entrusted with her arrangements.
