Mrs. Linda L. Doughty, 77, of New Ross, Indiana, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021, at Signature Healthcare at Parkwood in Lebanon. She was born in Lebanon, Indiana on December 19, 1943, a daughter of the late Kedrick and Mary Florence (Denny) Newton.
On December 18, 1964, she was married to Larry C. Doughty in Advance, Indiana. He preceded her in death on August 11, 2003.
She graduated from Dover High School. Following high school, she worked in the office for Vectren Energy in Indianapolis for many years.
Linda attended Jamestown Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed many activities with her family and her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Survivors include two sons: Justin (Michelle) Doughty of New Ross and Jason (Erika) Doughty of New Ross; four grandchildren: Breanna Doughty, Devin Doughty, Megan Marshall, Logan Evalenko; four great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Linda was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn S. Demaree and one brother, E.J. Newton.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Pleasant View Cemetery in Lebanon.
Porter and Hunt Funeral Home & Crematory in Jamestown is handling her arrangements. Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
