Linda Marie Jones, age 83, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Born June 10, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth and laughter touched everyone who knew her. She was a woman of deep faith who found strength in her relationship with the lord and her church community.
A graduate of Indiana University, Linda met her husband, Victor Jones — her partner of 52 years — during her college years; Victor preceded her in death. Linda devoted decades of her life to her community. She volunteered with local organizations and spent more than 10 years serving the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. For 35 years she taught preschool at the United Methodist Church in Lebanon, where she welcomed and nurtured more than 1,000 children through the early years of their lives.
Linda is survived by her children, Vickie Daupert (Bob Daupert) and Todd Jones (Dori Jones); grandchildren, Erica Snow (Zach Snow), Lindsay Kaufman (Matt Kaufman), Morgan Williams (Clint Williams), Marisa Jones, and Troy Jones; and great-grandchildren Samari Snow, Xavier Snow, Brooklyn Kaufman, and Miles Kaufman. She was known for an infectious laugh, a steady stream of loving prayers and cards to family and friends, and an unfailing devotion to those she loved.
She loved time at the lake in Tennessee, swimming and riding golf carts through Lebanon Park with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spending quiet hours drawing and painting. Her creativity, kindness, and generous spirit will be deeply missed.
Memorial service information will be announced by the family. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her arrangements.
