Local Churches Unite for Palm Sunday and Good Friday “King of Kings, Lord of Lords” Celebrations in Frankfort

Several area congregations are joining together this Easter season for two special community worship gatherings celebrating Palm Sunday and Good Friday in Frankfort.  The Attendees will gather on the public sidewalk on the south side of the Frankfort High School Parking lot.

The first event, Palm Sunday, will take place on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 1 to 3 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring palm branches to wave as they celebrate Jesus as the “King of Kings and Lord of Lords.”

Later in the week, the community is invited to gather at the same location for a Good Friday observance on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 12 to 3 p.m. The gathering marks the time Jesus gave up His Spirit to the Father. Attendees may bring worship flags, shofars, or cardboard testimonies as local believers come together to honor the cross through praise and reflection.

Participants for both events are asked to park at the Frankfort First Church of the Nazarene  and join the group on the public sidewalk in front of Frankfort High School at State Road 28 and Maish Road.

Churches involved in organizing the events include:

  • Frankfort First Church of the Nazarene,
  • Community Christian Church,
  • New Hope Church,
  • Kirklin Assembly of God Church, and
  • Sheridan Church of God.

Organizers emphasize that the gatherings are open to people celebrating this important Christian time of year leading up to Resurrection Sunday.  Anyone is welcome to join in.
