Mary Catherine “Cathy” (Slusher) Peterson, 74, of Cutler, was called home on Sunday August 4, 2024. She was born August 10, 1949, to Onzo and Geraldine (Birkhart) Slusher in Black Mountain, KY. She graduated from Southern High School in Louisville, KY in 1968. On February 25, 1972, she married Ronald Peterson, and he survives.
Cathy was a member of Burlington First Brethren Church. She spent several years working at Dr. Don Wagoner and Dr. Alvin Eller’s offices. She enjoyed reading her Bible and completing weekly Bible studies, especially with her grandchildren. Her family was her next greatest priority after Jesus.
In addition to her husband Ron, she is survived by her sons, Jeff (Nancy) Peterson of Kokomo, Christopher (Kristina) Peterson of Cutler; 11 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandchild; brother, Johnny Slusher of Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 7 pm Monday August 12, 2024, at the Burlington First Brethren Church, 205 W. 8th St., Burlington, IN 46915. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday August 13, 2024, at the church with Pastor John Drexler officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora.
