Maybel’s Ride Raises Funds For Diabetic Alert Service Dog This Saturday, Oct. 19

The Raised by Heroes Motorcycle Club of Indiana will be hosting Maybel’s Ride to aid in the raising of funds to grant Maybel’s family the opportunity to acquire a diabetic alert service dog.

Four-year-old Maybel was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 11 months of age following severe illness, and she and her family have aspired to raise awareness and funds for a diabetic alert service dog while sharing her journey.

Maybel’s Ride will kick off this Saturday, Oct. 19 with registration from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with kickstands up at noon. Costs will be $20 per rider, $5 per passenger or $25 per carload. All bikes, cars and trucks are welcome to participate.

The ride will begin at Roadhouse 39 at 1601 Rossville Ave. in Frankfort, and the ride will conclude at the Raised by Heroes Clubhouse at 11252 E. 200 N. in Sheridan where a backyard BBQ will commence for a $10 donation. The BBQ will include hamburgers, hot dogs, macaroni and cheese and more as well as a special appearance by Jason Wells.

The event will also include a 50/50 raffle, auction and more, and participants have been encouraged to arrive early to enjoy breakfast.

Currently, apparel options for the event are being finalized with the Design Hub in Frankfort. For more information on apparel options donated by the Design Hub in Frankfort, visit juiceboxbabies.com.
