Mental Health America Offering Program for Kids of First Responders and Medical Professionals

oone County first responders and medical professionals are getting an opportunity from Mental Health America of Boone County (MHABC) to be able to register for emergency child care for first responders and medical professionals.

MHABC is having a ‘Get Ready for Summer Reading’ program. There will be times for e-learning, arts/games/S.T.E.M., fresh air times for outside activities (weather permitting), movie times and online educational programs. Fees for first responders and healthcare workers will be waived if approved by county officials.

This emergency program will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

MHABC says to make sure your child has had breakfast before attending and brings a home lunch from home as per the instruction stated in the rules and regulations included with the registration. MHABC will provide an afternoon snack. All lunches must be ready to eat as MHABC will bot cook or microwave any food items.
