Meredith “Bud” Paul Wainscott, 89, of Seabrook, Texas, passed away in his home peacefully on Tuesday, July 16th, 2024. Bud was born on October 27th, 1934, to Lester “Polly” Paul Wainscott and Vera “Peachy” Wainscott in Frankfort, Indiana.
He was a graduate of Frankfort High School and went on to graduate from Ball State University on a full athletic scholarship (tennis). He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served two years in Washington DC. Through the years he was a beloved principal, teacher, coach, and friend to many. He touched many lives with his unconditional love, storytelling, and ministry. Bud was known for his LOVE of God, Family, Friends and most of all Tennis. His open heart welcomed many into his life as a forever friend. Bud was blessed with three children and fourteen grandchildren. He loved to spend time by storytelling, attending sporting events, games/cards and sneaking away for ice cream.
Bud is survived by his wife Phyllis Wainscott (TX), three children, Lance Wainscott (NC) Dawn Baker (IN) and Sandi Bicknell (TX); fourteen grandchildren; and two great grandchildren and a sister Diana Ross (IN).
Bud was preceded in death by his parents Polly and Peachy, sister Virginia, and wife Ellie Morton Wainscott.
A Celebration of Life open house will be held August 2, 2024, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at Encompass Event Center @ Prairie Creek Park 260 E. Washington St., Frankfort, Ind.
