The Michigantown Lions Club has announced plans for Memorial Day which will be held on Monday, May 27, in memory of Linda Rule Barnett.
Breakfast will be served at the Michigantown Lions Club Building from 7:30-9 a.m. and the menu will consist of pancakes, sausage, biscuits, homemade sausage gravy, orange juice and coffee. This is an all-you-can-eat event with donations accepted. Veterans are complimentary.
The program begins at 9 a.m. at the Kirklin American Legion. Music will be provided by the Fun Time Band and special music will be performed by Randy Jenkins. Children’s Memorials will be done by the Myers Children. Speaker will be Ron Trees with his topic being “Remembering Adrian Marks” WWII Hero. There will be Taps and Gun Salute plus a release of doves in memory of those we dearly loved and lost.
