With deep sadness, we share that our beloved, Noah Michael Lane, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at the age of 27. Born August 31, 1998, Noah lived with passion, courage and purpose. He was a proud active duty service member, initially active in the National Reserves and then more recently, he was active in the Army Reserves. He loved serving his country.
Noah embraced life fully, valuing strength and curiosity. He loved camping, hiking, fishing, spending time with friends, and riding his beloved VMAX motorcycle with his father. He was an avid gamer, enjoyed playing with his brothers, and he was earnest about his health and fitness. Above all, he treasured being a father to his son, Harrison.
Noah was preceded in death by his younger brother, Lyric Bram Lane. He is lovingly remembered by his son, Harrison Lane of Logansport, Indiana; his father, Mike Lane of Thorntown, Indiana; his mother, Penny Lane, and her husband, Jeremy Gooden, of Lexington, Kentucky; his sister, Keely Garrison, and her husband, Kenneth, of Lafayette, Indiana; his brothers, Samuel Lane of Lafayette, Indiana and Simon Lane of Thorntown, Indiana; his sister, Ruby Lane of Lexington, Kentucky; his nephews, Kaiden, Coen, and Lynken; his niece, Mikayla; and many extended family members, friends, and brothers and sisters in service. He is also survived by his half-sisters, Candice Hudson, and her husband, Sean, of Ohio and Clarissa Lane of Frankfort, Indiana.
A Celebration of Noah’s life will be held this Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Noah’s home (502 South Vine Street in Thorntown, Indiana) with military honors. All who knew and loved him are welcome to join in honoring his life at 10:00 a.m. Myers Mortuary in Lebanon and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his cremation.
In lieu of flowers, honor Noah by spending time with the people you love. Take your son out to eat. Take your daughter dancing. Reach out to someone you’ve been meaning to call. Connect with a long lost friend. Listen a little longer, love a little deeper. None of us are promised tomorrow, and time with those we love is life’s greatest gift.
