NWS Expects Snow In Northwest Central Indiana Tonight & Overnight; Possible 1 To 2 Inches Accumulation

The National Weather Service has issued a weather statement that accumulating snow is expected late this evening, Jan. 2 and overnight into Friday morning.

Snow is expected to arrive in the Northwest Central Indiana region this evening, spreading into the Kokomo, Indianapolis and Muncie area by the late evening hours. The snow is then expected to depart from the region overnight.

Snow accumulations may be one to two inches in the region.

“Surfaces that are untreated may become slick and snow covered tonight,” the service released. “Exercise caution if driving tonight and early on Friday, allowing extra time to reach your destination.”
