The City of Frankfort is looking at a huge renovation project for Old Stoney probably sooner than later.
“You start investigating that’s when you find out that things that were done and I’m sure things were done differently five to 10 years ago from what we would do now,” said Sheets. “It’s just a unique system here too because when I was in the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office everybody had their individual thing. It would be cool in here and warm here.”
Sheet added the city has been told there are problems throughout the building from the fourth floor on down plus it is going to be a very pricey tag to fix. They were told Monday night the HVAC system has not been maintained and one part does not work at all and is currently being replaced. They were also told Monday night that the price tag could run as high as $200,000.
