The Optimist and Lions Club Annual Fishing Derby for youth and families will be held Saturday, June 1, at the Frankfort Lagoons.
Fishing starts at 9 a.m. with awards at noon for the biggest fish caught by youth ages 0-8, 9-13 and 14-19. Free light lunch served after the awards. Bring your own fishing equipment and bait – or use ours.
All youth must be accompanied by parent or adult guardian. Fishing licenses not required on this Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Indiana Free Fishing Day.
This free event is a joint effort of the Frankfort Optimist Club, Born to Shine Optimist Club, Frankfort Lions Club and interested individuals.
