The fish were biting, the sun was shining, and everyone had fun at Saturday’s Fishing Derby at the Frankfort Lagoons! Thirty-three youths and their families attended!
Winner for the Biggest Fish: 0-8 years old category was 3-year old Landon Johnson, 9-13 years old category was 11-year old Conner Archibald, and 14-18 year old category was 14-year old Jaden Hemmerling. The winner for the Most Fish was Dacoda Davis, 11 years old.
After awards were presented and photos were taken 
everyone enjoyed the hot dogs cooked by Ryan Carlson in his “bobber” cooker. Erick Dircks was there to gather special moments with his camera and drone.
About 24 volunteers from the Frankfort Optimist Club, the Born to Shine Optimist Club, and the Frankfort Lions Club were on hand to take care of the details. The Frankfort Optimist Club would like to thank the members of these groups and other individuals for their time and donations of fishing poles, bait, food, water, and other items in our mission of providing positive experiences for area youth and their families.
