Ora “Oby” B. Shockley, 59, of Lebanon, Indiana passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis. He was born in Indiana, on November 16, 1966, a son of the late Lawrence and Meldra Jodell “Jo” (Shanklin) Shockley.
Oby graduated from Lebanon High School. He spent many years working at DeVol and Son Garage, and in recent years, Oby transitioned to landscaping.
He loved outdoor activities like camping and fishing, but most of all, Oby enjoyed time with his family.
Survivors include his sons, Chad (Lacy) Shockley, Ora “Ory” (Brandi) Shockley, and Corey Shockley all of Lebanon; grandchildren, Bentley, Braylie, Brogan, Gabriella, and Xavier; and siblings, Chris (Amanda) Shockley of Dover and Jennifer Shockley Ballinger of Lebanon.
In addition to his parents, Oby was preceded in death by his brother, Lauren N. “Than” Shockley.
Funeral Services are planned for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of services. Interment will follow at Union Lutheran Cemetery in Zionsville.
