Patricia Ann Wright

Patricia Ann Wright “Pati”, age 76 of Jamestown, IN passed away at home on Friday, April 4, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 20, 1949, to Clarence and Beatrice (Mason) Abney, in Stuttgart, AR and was the oldest of three girls.

Pati married the love of her life, Vennis Wright on February 28, 1965, at the Church of God in Jamestown, IN. They spent 60 wonderful years together and had four children: Lori, Lesa, Jennifer, and Jeffrey. Their unusual dynamic and love for each other was one of a kind.

Pati initially enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom, returning to Western Boone High School, receiving her diploma in 1978. Over the course of her life, Pati enjoyed many things including loving to read, cook, sew, crochet, and playing games on her phone. She was a collector of many things and loved to shop. She always enjoyed working with people and held multiple services positions. She found her passion in nursing and spent over 20 years being a CNA, even being a “live in” caregiver multiple times. Pati had many talents which included her beautiful singing voice and ability to make people smile. She never knew a stranger and had a huge heart. Pati loved being a grandmother, going on field trips, sporting events, you name it, she was there. Pati was also a devoted daughter of Christ, evident by the positive impact she made in so many lives.

Pati is survived by her husband, Vennis Wright of Jamestown, IN; sister, Pam Merritt of Arkansas; first born daughter, Lori Wright and her family, including grandchildren: Brittany (Kyle) Lucas, Fred Nicholas Bort, Kole (Ally) Bort, and Kameron Bort; great grandchildren: Nastassia (Nick) Brown, Felecia (Ryan) Herman, and Aaron (Saleen) Lucas; great-great grandchildren: Liana Herman, Lucas Herman, and Shiloh Lucas; Second born daughter, Lesa Disher and her daughter, Autumn Disher; Third born daughter, Jennifer Coffey and her family, including grandchildren: Jesseca (Kevin) Simpson and Darrin (Nikki) Coffey; great grandchildren: Skylar Wright, Natalie Coffey, and Dean Coffey; fourth born son, Jeffrey (Debbie) Wright; grandchildren: Megan (Jeremy) Mullinix, Cody (Jenny) Lloyd, and Alexus Wright; great grandchildren: Leila Schafer, Micheal White, Caleb Mullinix, Carson Mullinix, Camryn Mullinix, Ryker Lloyd, Reece Lloyd, Rylan Lloyd, and Elijah Barger; cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Pati was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Beatrice Abney; mother and father-in-law, Elmer Oscar and Ora Ethel Wright; sister, Sue Summers; grandson, Brayton Wright; and granddaughter, Lyndsay Wright.

Per Pati’s request the family will not hold any official public services. We will have a celebration of life in the near future for family and close friends, celebrating her unforgettable life. Pati wanted everyone to remember her smiling, laughing, and joyful, the way she always was.
