Paula Jean Chumley, 68, of Mulberry, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Danville, Illinois on December 9, 1955, to Melvin and Leona (Reynolds) Allison. She married Gary Chumley on June 1, 1984. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2022.
Paula was a 1974 graduate of Rossville High School in Illinois. She later went on to receive her CNA Certificate. She worked for IU Health Frankfort, Mulberry Health, Clinton House, and Wesley Manor. She also worked at the Tippecanoe Mall. Paula enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, adult coloring, reading, watching the “Chicago” Shows on Wednesday nights and “Fire Country” on Friday nights. She also enjoyed attending social events such as Bingo and Bible study at the Friendship Gardens Community Center.
She is survived by her children, Jack (Taelynn Hogue) Chumley, Gary Lee Chumley, and Molly (Josh) Dowell and grandchildren, Felysiti, Bo, and Sully Chumley.
Along with her husband of 38 years, Paula is preceded in death by her parents; son, Neal; and a sister, Sally Lou Porth.
A memorial graveside service will be held 1pm, Monday, September 16, 2024, at Fair Haven Cemetery. Pastor Alan Downing will officiate.
