Peggy Pennington

Peggy L. Pennington, 81, passed away early morning on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at her home in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born on May 6, 1945, in Lebanon, and she was the daughter of the late James Isenhower and Jane (Small) Iddings.

On June 9, 1972, she married Charlie N. Pennington in Lebanon. They shared 53 loving years together before he passed away on March 29, 2025.

Peggy attended Lebanon Schools and later earned her cosmetology license.

She enjoyed crafting, baking for family, and was a fan of Star Trek. She especially loved the holidays and looked forward to decorating her home for every season. Peggy will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Charlie N. (Lora) Pennington, II, Jim (Christy) Nance, William “Jesse” (Lisa) Pennington, Jamie (Dodie) Nance, Lisa Pennington-Russ, Romey (Debbie) Nance, Roanna Pennington, and Crystal Pennington-Womock; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Isenhower, John Iddings, Wendell Iddings; and sisters, Becky (Rick) Matrana, Nancy (Wayne) Neal, Penny (Lester) Martin, Janie Mikesell, and Crystal Lanum; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy was preceded in death by her grandson, Dustin Pennington and siblings, James N. Isenhower and Sonya Summers.

Funeral Services are planned for 12:00 noon, on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.

In honor of Peggy’s love of Star Trek and the color green, the family invites those attending to wear green or Start Trek attire, if desired.
