Physical Altercation Leads To One Shot Fired; Frankfort Man Arrested

Reports of gunshots resulted in the arrest of a Frankfort man on Monday and charges being filed for criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and battery.

On July 15 just after 11 a.m., Frankfort Police Department officers were reportedly dispatched to the 800 Block of Frankfort Place for a report of shots fired, but upon arrival, officers were unable to locate the involved parties, police say.

While the officers surveyed the location where the firearm was reported to have been discharged, a victim contacted Clinton County Central Dispatch to report that he was shot at and left the area, and reports indicated that the shot did not strike the man.

Detectives and crime scene investigators conducted an investigation that resulted in the arrest of Kevin Hinton, 35, of Frankfort for criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and battery, reports show.

Official charges were filed by the Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office on July 16.

The Frankfort Police Department issued a reminder that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
