A pilot with an airplane based at Flora, Indiana airport 5I2 walked away after experiencing an apparent emergency landing in his small plane Saturday. The plane landed near Children’s Garden Daycare in Carroll County located near State Road 18 – West Division Line Road just west of Flora.

Tommy Nemec of West Lafayette was the pilot and only person on board the small aircraft.
Flora Airport Board President, Jack Begley, stated “I’m sorry about the damage but glad he is OK.” According to one source, the Carroll County Sheriff’s department and Indiana State Police are investigating the incident.
