Protocol Change Coming to Lebanon Police Department

Starting Monday, November 16, the Lebanon Police Department’s Lobby will be closed to the public. The front doors will be locked; however, you can call the Office at 765-482-8836 and you will be directed accordingly. If you are applying for a firearms license or need copies of any reports, you will have to call the number given and make an appointment.

Two Lebanon Police Department employees have been showing symptoms associated with COVID 19. Both tested negative for COVID. The department will still be working with the protocol changes until further notice.

Adjustments to Lebanon Police Department Protocols
 All emergencies will still go thru Boone County Dispatch
 All non-emergent calls may be handled over the phone with an Officer. Please keep your phone available after calling and be prepared to receive calls from a blocked number.
 If an Officer arrives on scene, you may be asked to step outside in order to keep a safe social distance
 Officer may request you stay a certain distance from them at any given time. (6-foot rule)
 If anything is needed from the Police Department the item will be brought outside to the individual after calling the number provided.

Our goal at the Lebanon Department is to continue our everyday duties while keeping our Officers healthy. Due to protocol changes we may have to take different measures and approaches to make sure all involved are safe. Thank you for the help in keeping our community healthy and safe.
