Public Invited: “Finding Amelia” Presented Tuesday Evening By “Emmy” Winning Historian At Frankfort Airport

The public is invited to a special program presented by Frankfort’s Zonta Club Tuesday evening by Gary Quigg with TIGHAR (The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery).

Quigg will present “Finding Amelia”. The free public presentation will have a Power Point slide presentation, video and talk exploring history made by pioneering pilot Amelia Earhart who died at the age of 41 in 1939.

Gary Quigg, M.A, RPA is an Archaeologist, Historian, Museum Professional and Television Documentary Producer. Quigg has traveled to sites including Newfoundland Cape Shore, Alaska’s Misty Fjords Wilderness, Islands of Kirabiti, Yap and Solomons. Quigg has completed several award-winning historical and environmental documentaries for PBS audiences in the Great Lakes Region working as a free-lance writer/producer, receiving an “Emmy” for this work in 2012.

The free gathering will begin at 5:30 PM Tuesday January 21 with hor d’oeuvres followed by the program starting at 6:00 PM.  The event will be in the new large terminal building on the far south side of the Frankfort Clinton County Airport. Plenty of parking will be available near the terminal entrance.
