Public Invited To Amelia Earhart Portrayal At Skanta Theatre

Amelia Earhart disappeared on July 2, 1937 while attempting to circle the globe in her twin engine Lockheed Model 10-E Electra.

The Public is invited to a free historical portrayal of this aviation pioneer and writer at the Skanta Theatre in the Frankfort Public Library on Wednesday, January 11 at 6PM.  Frankfort Zonta Club invites you to attend this fascinating historical portrayal by Leslie Goddard.

Amelia Earhart was not only the first female to cross the Atlantic Ocean Solo but set many other records in her courageous lifetime. In 1935 Earhart was a visiting faculty member at Purdue University and an advisor to the Purdue aeronautical engineering department and career counselor to female students at Purdue.

Earhart was on of the first aviators to promote commercial air travel.  She was declared dead January 5, 1939 after an extensive search in the South Pacific.

Frankfort Zonta Club invites the public of all ages to this free event.
