R.H. Marcum Jr., 82, of Frankfort, passed away April 5, 2025 at his home, with his family by his side. He was born August 7, 1942 in Harlan, Kentucky to R.H. Marcum & Oma (Smith) Marcum. He married Mary Ellen Robinson on November 17, 1961 and she survives.
R.H. attended School in Kentucky. He worked for Carr Cabinet Factory and the City of Frankfort Power & Light for 35 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. R.H. loved working in the yard, fishing, his truck, hunting, gardening and especially loved his family.
R.H. is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen, daughters, Anna (Bill) Smith of Frankfort, Kim Marcum of rural Thorntown, Tracy Marcum Dillon of Lebanon, siblings, Alberta (Junior) Carpenter of Jelico, TN, Bert (Phyllis) Marcum of Kentucky, Philip Marcum of Arizona, Fielding (Bev) Marcum of Indiana, Ray (Darnell) Marcum of Frankfort, Leon Marcum of Loyal, KY, grandchildren, Eric (Carly) Smith, Dylan Smith, Heaven Spencer, Tyler Dillon, Tevin Dillon, Taleigha Dillon, great grandchildren, Oma Mary Sue Spencer, Bryar James Clyde Spencer, Jalen Smith, Carter Smith, Mercy Smith and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Betty Ann Marcum, Ella Wilson, Juanita Napier and Martha Pettit.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2025 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 12th at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Goodwin Funeral Home, to assist the family with final expenses.
