The Raices Festival Art Contest submissions are due tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 11 ahead of the Raices Festival set for Saturday, Sept. 21 with opportunities to receive prizes.
This year’s theme highlights the idea of “Exploring Latin America” where middle school students in all of Clinton County will be tasked to create an art piece that showcases a Latin American experience.
The art pieces must be on paper no bigger than 13 x 19, and a first through third-place winner will be chosen for each grade. The first-place prize stands at $75 with a second-place prize of $50 and a third-place prize of $25. Prizes will be awarded during the Raices Festival on Sept. 21 at Prairie Creek Park in Frankfort.
Submissions of the art piece may be submitted to an art teacher or Esmeralda Cruz at the Purdue Extension Office at 1111 S. Jackson St. in Frankfort.
