Rhonda R. Favors

Rhonda Rena Favors, 60, of Logansport, Indiana, passed away on December 25, 2025. She was born on May 18, 1965, in Noblesville, Indiana.

In June 1986, Rhonda married David Patrick, with whom she had two daughters, Mary and Rebekah. After Rhonda and David divorced, he, the father of her children, preceded her in death in 2011. In 2007, Rhonda married Andy Shelley. They also divorced but remained friends, and he survives.

Rhonda loved Jesus deeply. Her life was marked by hardship and ongoing health struggles. Yet, she faced every season with determination and grit. Through it all, she fought fiercely for her daughters. She loved them with all she had and did the very best she could with what she was given. People knew her for her stubborn spirit. Those closest to her understood it came from strength, passion, and a heart that refused to give up on those she loved.

Rhonda’s hobbies included crafting and creating cherished gifts for those she loved. Each piece was made with intention and care. To her grandchildren, she was “Nana,” a name she treasured. She found great joy in crafting with them—making homemade cards, gifts, and keepsakes together. Every creation reflected her desire to make others feel special, remembered, and deeply cherished.

Rhonda’s life was not easy. It was a faithful life—defined by strength, perseverance, and a mother’s enduring love. Her legacy lives on through her daughters and grandchildren, who carry her strength and love forward.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne Favors and Kathleen Sandefur; her stepfather, Leon Sandefur; her sister, Elaine Curtis; her beloved grandchildren, Patrick Wayne Sanders, Tali Bell, and Miriam Sanders; and her beloved dog, Willow.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary (Patrick) Bell and her husband, Robert Bell, and Rebekah (Patrick) Sanders and her husband, Zachary Sanders; her treasured grandchildren, Eleanor, Margaret, and David Sanders—the lights of her life. She is also survived by her sister, Alicia (Tim) Godbey; her nephews, Kenny Crist, Alan (Ashley) Godbey, and Craig Godbey; and her niece, Shanna (Rick) Stowers. Rhonda is also survived by her faithful companion, Violet, her dog.

Private Family Services will be held. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her care.
