
Rick was a 1970 graduate of Clinton Central High School. He retired from Co-Alliance in 2018 as a Grain Clerk after 44 years of service. Rick was a strong-willed man who loved picking on people. His favorite hobbies are fishing, camping, watching baseball, and tinkering in the garage. He grew up in forest Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Trustee, and played piano. Rick will be remembered for driving his golf cart through the town of Forest with his canine companion Maisly. He loved the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Diane, Rick is survived by his son, Chris (Sara) Terrell; grandchildren, Adam (Jenette Hoffman) Terrell, Dr. Daniel (Grace) Whitcomb, Kaleb (Samantha) Whitcomb; great-grandchildren, Kezia Whitcomb, Solomon Whitcomb, Tirzah Whitcomb, Eden Whitcomb; siblings, Patricia (Kenny) Parker, Nancy Tate, Jerry (Anna) Terrell; best friend, David Michael; canine companion, Maisly; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Betty Jewell, Terry Terrell; and daughter-in-law, Wendy Terrell.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 7 pm Friday October 17, 2025, at Stout & Son Funeral Home – Russiaville Chapel, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, IN 46979. A funeral service celebrating Rick’s life will begin 10:30 am Saturday October 18, 2025, at the funeral home with Pastors Rob Marcus and Matt Slabach officiating. Burial will follow in Bacon Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Rick’s memory to the Forest Volunteer Fire Department or Forest Baptist Church.
