On January 13, 1973, he was married to Kathy Sue (Harmon) Pedigo in Indianapolis; she survives.
Ron was a lifelong resident of Boone County. He dedicated 11 years of his life to serve honorably in the United States Air Force from 1981 to 1992. He was employed at Parker Hannifin for 26 years in shipping and receiving while operating the forklift. Ron was also employed at American Rental in Lebanon for over 10 years.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 113 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Lebanon 2062. Ron had a passion for going to auctions, wheeling and dealing, leaving with a smile and a new addition to his collection. He enjoyed collecting pocketknives, watching baseball, rooting for the Indianapolis Colts, and going fishing.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Pedigo; four children, Jason (companion, Brea Wagoner) Pedigo, Matt (Jessica) Pedigo, Allison (Brad) Townsend, all of Lebanon, and Alicia (companion, Chris Reynolds) Hughes of Zionsville; son-in-law, Lansa Merilan of North Carolina; twenty-one grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Danni) Pedigo of Brownsburg; sister-in-law, Jo-Ann Pedigo of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Danielle Merilan, and a brother, Richard L. Pedigo, II.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Ron will be honored with Military Rites beginning at 3:00 p.m. Boone County Crematory has been entrusted with his cremation following services.
