The Rossville Consolidated School District Board of Education met Tuesday night to approve teacher and administrator contracts, adopt the 2026 school budget, and act on several personnel items. The Board ratified the 2025–2026 Master Contract with the Rossville Classroom Teachers Association following the required public hearing earlier this month. The new agreement sets the minimum full-time teacher salary at $46,000 and provides structured increases tied to evaluation ratings and high-need certifications. Administrator contracts and updated classified wage handbooks were also approved, with classified staff increases included and reflected in the November 7 payroll.

The Board accepted the resignation of Instructional Assistant Kaitlin Green, effective January 2026, and approved multiple appointments, including Rebecca Doering as Childcare Assistant Supervisor to support before- and after-school programming and a potential summer childcare expansion. Members also validated the placement of Brenda Loveless on paid administrative leave pending investigation. In the financial business, the Board adopted the 2026 School Budget, the 2026 School Bus Replacement Plan, and the 2026–2028 Capital Projects Plan after public advertisement and hearing, and affirmed the corporation remains under the state’s 15% transfer cap between Education and Operations Funds.

The meeting concluded with acceptance of a classroom donation and approval of a Memorandum of Understanding with COACH Kids of Clinton County to expand student mentoring supports before adjourning.
