Rossville Consolidated School District announced its partnership with the local chapter of the American Red Cross to raise funds for those devastated by Hurricane Helene in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and beyond.
The corporation stated that beginning tomorrow, Oct. 9 and continuing through Oct. 25, the schools will be collecting cash to be sent directly to the victims of Hurricane Helene as well as those affected by Hurricane Milton.
“Please encourage your students to donate–pennies matter at this point,” the corporation released. “There will be no prize for who collects the most. The goal here is we can all make an impact.”
For Rossville Middle and High School students, the donations may be turned in to their first-hour teacher. For Rossville Elementary School students, the donations may be turned in to their classroom teacher.
The Guidance Office will send out a combined total raised by the students after Oct. 25.
