Rotary Club of Frankfort will have a Sidewalk Celebration to unveil Service Above Self Banner Recognition Program, to be held at 5:30-6:00pm on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Prairie Creek Park, Frankfort, Indiana.

Service Above Self Banner Recognition Program was introduced in May 2025 to honor individuals who serve or have served in the armed services, as firefighters service, in law enforcement, and as medical professionals.

The Sidewalk Celebration will feature project supporter Frankfort Mayor Judith Sheets, project sponsor Club President Tom Crawford, and others who will share information about Rotary, individuals being honored, and the foundational principles of the project. At the close of the celebration, attendees will be invited to take a walk to closely view the colorful banners on Washington Street from the Post Office and continue east on Washington Avenue toward Maish Road.

Rotary Club of Frankfort was chartered in 1919 and, with a membership roster of 49 individuals, continues to serve to make a positive difference in the Frankfort community. Members’ volunteer efforts and club finances are invested in local organizations and scholarship programs. Some of those involvements include Karen Sutton Scholarship Program, Heroes of Hope, 3rd Grade Dictionary Distribution, DECA Backpack Program, Boys & Girls Club, July 4th Fireworks, Hot Dog Festival, Prairie Creek Park Splash Pad, and Suncrest Elementary Reading Champions.
