Ruby Boone passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at her home in Lebanon, Indiana. She was 90 years old. Born in Davies County, Indiana on October 5, 1933, she was a daughter of Harley and Grace (Wilson) Burch.
On March 8, 1952, she was united in marriage to Donis Dean Boone in Dugger, Indiana. He preceded her in death on October 22, 2019.
Ruby was a 1951 graduate of Pleasantville High School. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Jamestown. Ruby spent her life dedicated to raising her family and taking care of their home.
Survivors include three children, Dennis (Tonya) Boone of Pittsboro, Donna (Lloyd) Finch of Crawfordsville, and Rita (Mark) Newton of Lebanon; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a sister, Nina Lester of Spencer.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Ruby was preceded in death by four brothers.
Funeral Services are planned for 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Porter and Hunt Funeral Home, 315 West Main Street, in Jamestown, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services. Ruby will be laid to rest at Dugger Cemetery in Dugger, Indiana.
