Samuel “Chad” Kyker, 49, of Lebanon, IN, passed away August 23, 2025 unexpectedly in Kentucky. He was born December 30, 1975 in Maryville, TN to Samuel & Sharon (Lamon) Kyker. He married Carrie Crum on May 22, 2004 in Frankfort and she survives.
Chad was a 1994 graduate of Maryville High School, received his BS from Tusculum University and his MBA from Phoenix University. He moved from Maryville to Lebanon in 2009. Chad attended Traders Point Church. He was employed with Assa Abloy, built watches for his company, Crockett Watches, also bred and sold Cacti all over the country. Chad was an Eagle Scout, was on the Boone County Zoning Board, Ambassador for Lebanon School System and was a middle school basketball coach in Lebanon. In his spare time, he enjoyed bee keeping, gardening, barbequing, smoking meats and attended weekly men’s Bible study.
Chad is survived by his mother, Sharon Kyker of Maryville, TN, wife, Carrie Kyker, sons, Sam Kyker, Simon Kyker, daughter, Sophia Kyker all of Lebanon, brother, Kent (Suzanne) Kyker, niece and nephew, Ben & Kate Kyker all of Knoxville, TN, in-laws, Larry & Jacki Crum of Frankfort, brother-in-law, Chris (Dana) Crum, nephews, Cooper, Bricker, and Carter Crum all of Lafayette, brother-in-law, Corey (Morgan) Crum, nieces and nephews, Roman, Coraline, Nellie, and Jack Crum all of Zionsville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel and his grandparents.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2025 at St. Matthew United Methodist Church, 1951 Wilshire Drive, Frankfort.
