The Town of Whitestown and Zionsville will face off in a friendly competition at the 2024 Town Showdown on Friday, May 9.
The towns announced that the event will take place as a conclusion of Zionsville’s Trailfest as members of both communities will be invited to showcase their town spirit by riding through the trails while showing their town pride.
Beginning at 6 p.m. at Panther Park at 300 S. Buck St. in Whitestown, community members can grab a bite to eat from local food trucks and drinks from LA Cafe, enjoy live music from Worlds Apart and mingle with community partners.
The community count will be announced at 7 p.m., and community members should register with their town prior to the count time.
Whitestown residents are encouraged to wear blue for the event to spread their town pride for the showdown while Zionsville residents are encouraged to wear green to showcase their Z-Town pride. The town with the highest attendance based on percentage of population will receive the coveted Golden Bike Wheel.
Whitestown Events:
- 6 p.m.: Leave with the team from Main Street Park
- 7 p.m.: Community Count winners announced
- 8 p.m.: End of Event
- Those unable to meet at Main Street Park should meet directly at Panther Park
Zionsville Events:
- 6 p.m.: Meet the Zionsville Parks team at Heritage Trail Park to ride the Big-4 trail and head toward the count at Panther Park
- 7 p.m. Community Count winners announced
- 8 p.m. End of Event
- Trail Fest scavenger hunters can turn in their completed scavenger hunts at the Zionsville tent to claim their prize
