Boone County Executive Director Diane Schultz has announced she is leaving her position with the Chamber.
“I want to take a moment to share how much I have enjoyed my role, as Executive Director, the past five years. I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to work with amazing chamber and community members,” said Schultz in a press release. “The wonderful relationships I have made with business and community members are invaluable. While there have been so many amazing highlights over the previous five years, I am most proud of working with entrepreneurs to start their dream business, connecting businesses and individuals with resources to address their business and personal needs, developing and implementing initiatives for attendees to advance personally and professionally, collaborating with communities and organizations for the betterment of Boone County, and much more!”
Schultz added, “While I am not retiring, I look forward to taking a brief career pause to enjoy time with my husband, children, and two grandsons. I look forward to our paths crossing in the future and wish you all the very best in all of your future endeavors.”
The Boone County Board of Directors also released a statement.
“he Chamber Board of Directors want to wish Diane Schultz, our outgoing Executive Director, all the best as she officially ends her tenure with us. Diane’s contributions to the Boone County Chamber of Commerce would fill pages.” the statement said. “Diane joined the organization at a time when the chamber was struggling. Her five years of leadership has brought 85% growth in membership. She leaves the organization in a strong financial position and well respected not only in Boone County but across the state of Indiana and nationally.”

Donald Barrett, Board President, specifically thanks Diane for all her contributions during her five-year tenure saying, “She has been so helpful to my business and working with her on the board has been a pleasure.”
Kerry Dull, Board Treasurer commented, “Diane’s passion for life, people, the Boone County Chamber and Boone County is contagious. Diane has chosen to step away and we all wish her well.”

Fourth of July activities in the Lebanon area include Whitestown (Sunday, July 3, at Eagle Church at dark); Lebanon (Monday, July 4, at Lebanon Middle School, 10 p.m.; and Ziosnville (Monday, July 4, at 10 p.m. at Lions Park).
