The Clinton County Youth Theatre, the Friends of the Frankfort Public Library, and Executive Producer, Gem City Junction, announce the performances of Disney’s Moana JR. in Skanta Theatre.
Disney’s Moana JR. is playing at Skanta Theatre in the Frankfort Community Public Library from Thurs., June 22 at 7:30 p.m. through Sat., June 24. There is a matinee on Sat., June 24 at 2:00 p.m. The 60 minute adventure, features local performers ages 5-18, is based on the 2016 Disney film Moana. The cast includes just over 50 students. You’ll love this thrilling and heartwarming stage adaptation of the coming-of-age tale of Moana as she sets sail across the Pacific to save her village and discover the truth about her heritage. She and the demigod, Maui, embark on an epic journey of self-discovery and camaraderie as she learns to harness the power that lies within.
Adapted for young performers, this musical includes favorite songs by Tony, Grammy, Emmy, and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa’I, and Mark Macina, such as “How Far I’ll Go”, “Shiny”, and “You’re Welcome”. With its empowering message of bravery, Moana JR., is sure to awaken your inner hero!
Performances are in the Skanta Theatre in the Frankfort Community Public Library on Thurs.-Sat., June 23-25 at 7:30 p.m. with a matinee at 2:30 p.m. on Sat.
