Sharon Lynn Eilar, 73, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born on October 30, 1951, in Emporia, Kansas, a daughter of the late C. W. and Virginia (Hager) Cunningham.
On March 9, 1974, she was united in marriage to Dwane Lynn Eilar in Kansas. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2023. They had shared 49 loving years together.
Raised in Kansas, Sharon was a 1970 graduate of Emporia High School. She and Dwane later moved to Lebanon, Indiana, and from 1996–2023 she was employed at Kauffman Engineering as a Production Clerk. She held auxiliary memberships with Fraternal Order of Eagles 2062 and American Legion Post 113, and she was a former member of Moose Lodge in Lebanon.
Sharon was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother who always put her family first. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, traveling, and coloring.
Survivors include her daughter, Shannon L. (Robert) Stewart and granddaughter, Emma J. Brown all of Lebanon; sister, Rhonda Kirk of Kansas; sisters-in-law, Ruby Cunningham of Oklahoma, Mabel Cunningham of Kansas, and Debbie Cunningham of Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sharon was preceded in death by her son, Justin “Bubba” Eilar and brothers, Michael, Richard, and Stephen Cunningham.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street in Lebanon, Indiana. Funeral Services are planned for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will follow services at Lincoln Memory Garden in Whitestown.
