Shawn Elaine Maddox, 48, of Lebanon, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on October 19, 1974, in Indianapolis, a daughter of Judith E. (Trammel) Wessel–Dishman and the late Daniel Wessel.
Shawn was raised in Lebanon and attended Lebanon High School. She worked for Kauffman Engineering as a shipping clerk.
She loved to fish and enjoyed crafting and drawing. Shawn was a fun-loving free spirit, who touched many lives. Above all, she loved her family and friends and thought the world of her daughter and granddaughter. Shawn will be forever missed and live on in our hearts.
Survivors include her mother, Judith E. Wessel–Dishman of Lebanon; daughter, Kayla E. Maddox and fiancé, Jeff Stogsdill of Thorntown; granddaughter, Aubrie T. Duke of Thorntown; and brother, Chris Wessel of Long Island, New York.
Funeral Services are planned for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of services. Boone County Crematory has been entrusted with her cremation arrangements following services.
Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
