Sheila Marie Haney, 74, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born on December 12, 1951 and was the daughter of the late James and Evelyn (Wethington) Nicley.
Survivors include her daughters, Rose (companion, Tony Greene) Parke and Jennifer Swinehart; grandchildren, Paul (Kelsey) Carr, III, Michael (Krystal) Swinehart II, Lucas and Ethan Parke; great grandchildren, Jackson and Presley Carr; and siblings, Nicole (David) McKinney and Ron Nicley.
She was affectionately known as “Meemaw” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, a name that reflected the special bond she shared with each of them. She loved being a grandmother and a great grandmother and treasured every moment from holiday time to sleep overs and any other time she was able to spend with them. They brought so much love and happiness into her life, and she will forever be remembered as their beloved “Meemaw”
Some of Sheila’s happiest times were the Fridays she spent with her sister, Nicole. They loved seeking out new stores, exploring together and sharing the occasional ice cream. Those simple Friday adventures were something Sheila looked forward to.
Sheila loved her family more than anything and cherished every minute she was able to spend with them.
No services will be held at this time. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her cremation.
