
Boone Meadow Elementary School students and faculty safely evacuated to a nearby Zionsville Community School to await further instruction. At approximately 9 a.m., parents and faculty were advised that students would be released for the day and parents could begin picking up their children. Boone Meadow Elementary School Families were advised to follow Parent Square, the district’s mass notification system for ongoing updates.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Bomb Squad arrived on the scene at approximately 8:30 a.m. to investigate. The investigation concluded that the beeping sound was a discarded diabetic medical device that was still beeping upon retrieval. Boone Meadow Elementary School was cleared for safety and there is no threat to the community or school.
