Michele Houser, a teacher from Rossville, Ind., along with her fiancé, daughter, and Freddy Fever played an exciting game of HORSE today on the WNBA All-Star floor in the center of the Indianapolis International Airport (IND).
Houser won the “Run the Court” social-media contest launched on July 1, and she was selected by random drawing to take to the court and show off her hotshot skills.
The Indiana Fever’s mascot, Freddy Fever, joined Houser and family on the court, with the Fever Inferno Hip Hop Squad providing the pregame show.
“It was so much fun to play on the court at the airport,” said Houser. “Nobody else, except for Tamika Catchings and a few other celebrities like Freddy Fever have been here, so it was a lot of fun. Everybody was a good sport, and we enjoyed it.”
Houser’s family members, Craig Personett (fiancé), and Kennedy Houser (daughter and a basketball coach), made up the HORSE line up – with Michele winning the game.
Today’s event is among a robust list of tip-off activities the Indy airport planned for the local and traveling public throughout the two weeks ahead of the AT&T WNBA All-Star 2025.
“Seeing Michele and her family out there on our WNBA All-Star court today reinforces what IND is all about,” said Megan Carrico, senior director of public affairs with the Indianapolis Airport Authority. “IND is the community’s airport, where good times happen, where family and friends make memories, and where Hoosier Hospitality shines big.”
