The Thorntown Parks and Recreation Department has released further information regarding the free summer program for local youth who are looking for summer group activities to keep them active and engaged.
The 2025 Children’s summer program registration has officially opened with opportunities for local youth to get outside and build social skills, leadership skills and independence.
The summer program will be hosted on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Tom Johnson Memorial Park in Thorntown. Supervised activities may include wiffle ball, arts and crafts, basketball, clothes pin tag, walks along the historic Big 4 Trail and much more throughout the summer.
Children must be in third grade or above to participate. Community members may register for the program here.
