The Thorntown Public Library has announced that it will host an information session with a therapy dog worker to help train community members in therapy dog work.
The library announced that Jo Scott will hold a free informational session for therapy dog work tomorrow, Wednesday, March 5 at the Thorntown Public Library from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in meeting room 120. The session is open for all community members wanting to learn more about becoming certified with their canine.
Successful competition of therapy dog training allows community members and their dogs to visit hospitals, nursing homes, schools and more to provide services.
Scott’s therapy dog Gabby commonly visits the library to read with the community as part of her therapy work as well.
