Town Of Whitestown Appoints New Council Member For District 3

The Town of Whitestown has announced the recent appointment of the new Whitestown Town Council member representing District 3 as a member of the Whitestown Redevelopment Commission and ties to the community.

The town announced the appointment of Courtenay Smock as the new Whitestown Town Council member for District 3. Town Manager Katie Barr commented that Smock’s current role on the Whitestown Redevelopment Commission and his work as the President of the Walker Farms HOA Board showcase his community involvement and leadership experience as he prepares to continue the growth of Whitestown as a councilmember.

“We are delighted to welcome Courtenay Smock to the Town Council,” Barr said. “We look forward to the positive impact he will undoubtedly have on Whitestown.”

Smock shared his enthusiasm for taking on the role as a councilmember, expressing how aiding the progress of the Town of Whitestown has become an ingrained aspect of his character.

“It’s an honor to be called upon to serve the community that I have worked in and called home for two decades,” Smock said. “I look forward to collaborating with residents and colleagues alike to continue the legacy and vision of those who have succeeded in making Whitestown a great place to live.”

Smock will assume the position of Town Council member for District 3 immediately.
