Tree Lighting Festival organizer MaryLynn Peter announced the launch of the Second Annual Tree Lighting Festival Auction, which will kick off this Saturday, Oct. 12 online.
The auction is intended to raise funds for the Tree Lighting Festival in December, and items will be listed online at Tree Lighting Festival Auction 2024 on Facebook from Oct. 12 through Oct. 26 this year.
Peter commented that over 100 items have been scheduled for the auction, and a few more will be added before it launched. A video preview will be released on Friday for the community’s viewing pleasure.
Peter stated that potential donors of items must have the items to her by tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 11 at the latest to ensure that the auction can kick off on time on Saturday. Item donations may be coordinated by contacting MaryLynn Peter on Facebook to arrange pick-up or delivery. Items may include paintings, antiques, jewelry, purses, gift certificates, decorative items and more.
The Tree Lighting Festival will take place at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Prairie Creek Park with entertainment, contests and the staple Tree Lighting Ceremony for the community to enjoy.
