Two Arrested for Drugs in Kokomo

The Kokomo Police K-9 Division conducted an investigation Thursday that originated from a concerned citizen who used the Tip411 app. The complaint entailed the dealing of large quantities of Marijuana and Psychedelic Mushrooms to young children.

At approximately 11:05 p.m. Thursday, the Kokomo Police Department K9 division executed a search warrant at the residence of 521 East Harrison Street. During the execution of the search warrant, officers, located marijuana, THC, edibles, and gummies. Officers also located items, indicative of drug dealing which included digital scales, vacuum sealed bags, and a heat sealer. The search warrant resulted into the following seized narcotics: 4.8 pounds of marijuana, 4.4 pounds of THC edibles,wax and gummy’s, and $2356 in US currency.

The following individuals were arrested during the investigation, James Cook of Kokomo was charged with dealing in marijuana over 28 grams, a Level 5 felony, Possession of marijuana over 28 grams, a Level 6 Felony and Maintaining a Common Nusiance, a Level 6 Felony. Melissa Cook of Kokomo was arrested for the following offenses, maintaining a common nuisance, a Level 6 Felony. This case remains active for investigation.
