On May 8, 2025, shortly after 4:00 p.m., officers from the Indiana State Police, the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office, and the Tipton City Police arrived at the scene of an injury-involved crash on State Road 19 near County Road 3600 South. The accident resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left one person with serious injuries.
The preliminary crash investigation by Master Trooper AJ Coffee revealed that Michael Landseadel, 78, of Tipton, was driving a 2019 Lincoln MXZ heading northbound on State Road 19, with Virginia Landseadel, also 78, from Tipton, occupying the front passenger seat. For an undetermined reason, the Lincoln crossed the center of the roadway and struck a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Cory Davis, 49, of Cicero, IN.
Michael Landseadel and Virginia Landseadel were pronounced deceased at the crash scene by the Tipton County Coroner’s Office. Mr. Davis was transported to an area hospital for serious injuries.
This is an ongoing investigation. At this time, neither the consumption of alcoholic beverages nor narcotics is suspected of contributing to this crash. Notification to the family of the deceased has been made.
