Two-Vehicle Crash Leads To One Fatality On State Road 28 On Saturday

A two-vehicle crash that resulted in the ejection of one driver on State Road 28 Saturday morning resulted in one casualty, authorities report.

On Saturday, Nov. 16 just before 11:45 a.m., deputies with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office reportedly responded to a two-vehicle crash with ejection that occurred on State Road 28 at County Road 1300 East.

Deputies reported that evidence at the scene suggested that the first vehicle was traveling northbound on County Road 1300 East before disregarding a stop sign at State Road 28 and striking the second vehicle that was traveling westbound. The driver of the first vehicle was reportedly ejected as a result of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries.

Names of those involved have not been released at this time.

An active investigation is ongoing as toxicology reports are pending.
