The United Way for Clinton County officially kicked off its campaign season on Thursday evening with an announcement of the total funds raised by the Pacesetter organizations this year.
The community was invited to join the United Way team at the kickoff event to celebrate the official start to the campaign following the month of fundraising conducted by the Pacesetters. The United Way team announced that the Pacesetters this year raised a total of $202,594 toward the organization’s campaign goal, and the funds raised were reportedly the highest amount the Pacesetters have ever raised for the campaign.
During the kickoff, the organization also announced its campaign goal of $450,000 this year to continue its support of funded agencies in the community as well as its community impact programs.
The organization announced that this year’s campaign will see donations be matched by a 1:1 grant from Indiana United Way, which allows for community members to give just $1 more this year than last year to have their entire donation matched by the grant.
For first time donors, the entire donation amount will be matched as well. For those who have not given to the campaign in two or more years, the entire donation will be matched as well.
“This is an opportunity to change lives here in our community,” the team released.
